Like many monthly vendors, your gas company will mail you a monthly statement and invoice for payment. So usually once a month, you receive information on the usage and costs of your gas services. If you do not want to wait to check your gas bill, then take a look at these suggestions for getting this information.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Call your local gas company's customer service center to request information on your gas bill. It is likely you will have to confirm your account with the customer service representative, so have a previous bill on hand to answer related questions.
Step2
Write to the billing department of your gas company to request a copy of you gas bill if you have not received a printed copy in the past. Note that with many companies moving to paperless systems, you may request an email rather than a hard copy. The bill should verify your costs and reflect the energy used for that given month.
Step3
Find out if your gas meter offers usage and cost information for immediate readout. It's likely you can determine the usage but the costs will vary as gas prices change in market trading.
Step4
Visit your gas company's website. Most companies will have an online website with either online billing information or a contact number for billing questions. If the website has online billing information, you will need your account number and your contact information to locate your bill. You may need to set up the account via phone before you can use it.
