Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Exercise your sexual organs. Many MS patients experience numbness, which happens all over the body including the sexual organs. Stimulating the organs that give you sexual pleasure on a regular basis may help improve feeling in them.
Step2
Talk with your partner. This is especially important for a person with MS. Communicate what is or isn't working for you so your partner can better understand how to give you pleasure.
Step3
Try different sexual positions. Your MS may hinder the range of motion you have in your arms and legs making it harder or more uncomfortable to have sexual intercourse in some positions. Experiment to find a position that works for you and your partner.
Step4
Use lubricant to help keep sex enjoyable. Many women with MS have a decrease in natural lubrication making sex painful. Lubricants are widely available to solve this problem.
Step5
Make a mental map of your and your partner's bodies. Explore different areas together and find new exciting pleasure spots.
Step6
Seek mental counseling if your sex drive or sexual pleasure can't be helped with some of the above techniques. Sexual dysfunction can lead to depression and should be handled with a professional counselor.
Step7
Seek help from your doctor to help you gain confidence and pleasure in your sexual life. A doctor can prescribe medications to enhance your sexual drive or pleasure. Problems with sexual organs should also be monitored by your physician.
