How to Become an Agnostic
No matter your present religious and spiritual views and affiliations, becoming an agnostic involves some contemplation. There is not a form to fill out or certain group you need to join, but you'll have to reflect on the implications your decision to become an agnostic will have.

1
Consider your thoughts on God's existence. If you believe there is no higher power, you might consider defining yourself as an atheist. An agnostic is someone who is unsure about a higher power in some way. You can still believe in some form of a god and be an agnostic.
-
2
Decide the type of agnostic you want to be. An agnostic theist believes some form of a god exists, however also believes that the true nature of such a being is unknown to humans or is not knowable. An agnostic atheist believes there may not be a higher power or does not see enough evidence of a higher power to decide one exists.

3
Ask friends and relatives about their thoughts on agnostics. Although you have to decide for yourself whether or not you want to become an agnostic, you'll want to be prepared for their reaction to your decision. Do research and be prepared to answer their questions.
-
4
Go to the Religious Tolerance website to find information on different religious and spiritual beliefs. If you decide to become an agnostic, this website offers resources to help you learn more.
-
5
Find a religion or group accepting of your spiritual beliefs. Some religions are accepting or of agnostic viewpoints. If you decide not to participate in organized religion, find a group of people with similar beliefs so you can socialize and find some support.

Jesus should soooo not be any part of any religion....he could very well have been just a frickin carpenter that just had mental issues (i mean, c'mon, his mother believed she was a virgin even after giving birth!) -

Focus123, this article isn't about becoming a Christian. it is about becoming an agnostic. You may think you are doing a good thing by "witnessing" here, but in reality you are making Christianity look bad and pushing people away from it. There are plenty of articles on Christianity, where I'm sure your comments would be welcome. -

Instead of "deciding your an agnostic", why not seek out the truth and believe in that? Forget looking for a cool label, look for the truth. Consider the fact that you have the capacity to discern God existence, that you actually have hunger to know the truth, that you can sense a void in your "inner self". Only Jesus Christ claimed to provide the means to everlasting life. Allah, Buddha, Krishna, etc didn't make such claims. Study the claims, teachings and life of Jesus Christ. Examine the evidence, draw a conclusion based on the evidence, and believe in that.
