Select a L-shaped computer desk, if you have many peripherals and need a lot of space. Of course, you need the room in your home as these desks are rather large. They also are more expensive.

Buy your computer desk online at a online office store such as Best Buy or Staples. You can receive it in just a few days. The obvious advantage is the time you save shopping online. However, the desk comes unassembled.

Purchase your desk at an office store. The advantages are you can see the desk fully assembled. Also, most stores offer assembly for an additional charge if you don't want to put the computer desk together yourself.

Measure the area of the room where you plant to put your desk before you buy. Look at the measurements of the desk prior to purchasing so you know it fits in this area.
