How to Make Marble Magnets
If you're looking for a rainy-day craft project or a homemade gift idea, then marble magnets may be just the ticket. Not only are they fairly easy to make, but the creative possibilities are endless. Whether you decide to make them for yourself, with your children, for a grandparent or perhaps for a leader or coach, you'll be happy with the results and have fun with the process.
Things You'll Need
- Clear marbles with one flat side
- Photos, magazines or craft paper
- Round hole punch or scissors
- Clear tacky craft glue
- Small round magnets

1
Search for images you want to show off. You can have a lot of fun looking for words and images to focus on the marble magnets. Look through magazines, small photos or pretty printed paper or come up with your own on the computer.

2
Cut the image to size. The easiest way to do this is to use a hole punch that is the same size as the marble, which will leave you with the image in a perfect circle. If you don't have a hole punch, then you can easily use your scissors.

3
Adhere the image to the marble. Using clear tacky craft glue, put a drop onto the front side of the image and press to the flat side of the marble. Gently smooth out any air bubbles.

4
Attach the magnet. Again using the same clear tack craft glue, add a drop to the magnet and press it on to the back side of the image. Allow it to dry completely, and you're ready to use the magnet.

Tips & Warnings
Using the same method, substitute a flat-head push pin instead of a magnet, and you can use the marbles for your home or office bulletin board.
Make a set of six or eight using the same image, or similar images in a theme and give them as a gift. For example, make a set with children's faces and give it to a grandparent, or make a set with images of vintage cars for the car enthusiast in the family.
