How to Make an American Girl Doll Poncho

Things You'll Need

• Fleece for front side of poncho
• Fleece for reverse side of poncho
• Scissors or shears for cutting fabric
• Needle
• Thread

Instructions

1. Find fleece material that is to your liking. If you have a specific American Girl doll in mind, make sure that the material matches her time era.

2. Choose another fleece fabric that you would like to go on the reverse side of the poncho.

3. Cut the first piece of fabric into a 12-inch circle.

4. Make the second piece of fabric into a 12-inch circle as well.

5. Sew around the edges of the two fabrics so that they attach.

6. Snip a 3-inch hole in the middle of the two fabrics to fit the head of the American Girl doll.

7. Sew the inside hole together.
