Determine how you are going to use Kid Pix software: home, school classroom or computer lab.

Buy the home edition with a single license if you are going to install on just one home computer.

Decide if packaging is important to you. If it's not, you can buy a SmartDownload of the software directly from Broderbund, or you can buy it on eBay since sellers can often obtain the software at a discount by selling it sleeve only (see Resources below).
