How to Become an NICU Nurse

A neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurse cares for the newborns that need hospitalization. This is a difficult job that requires a great deal of knowledge and empathy. However, if you enjoy working with newborns and new families and want a challenging career in a health field, this may be the job for you.       Consider getting a Clinical Nurse Specialist degree (a master's in nursing) to help you take better care of your patients. In addition, the CNS degree may make you more marketable.
