One of the easiest ways to feed a large group is with a big pizza party. There are different ways to go about hosting a pizza party, but making the pizzas yourself is a great way to offer all sorts of variety for your guests. Read on to learn how to host a pizza party.

Things You'll Need:

  • Pizza dough
  • Meats
  • Cheeses
  • Veggies
  • Pizza sauce
  • Pizza pans or large sheet pans
  • Cooking spray
  • Oven
  • Pizza cutter
  • Cold drinks
  • Beer
  • Ice cream
  • Cones
  1. Step 1

    Decide on the location of the pizza party. It can take place in your home where you can either order the pizza in or make it yourself. Another option is to hold it at a pizza parlor.

  2. Step 2

    Purchase prepared pizza dough from a pizza parlor. This is much easier than making it yourself and the cost will outweigh the convenience.

  3. Step 3

    Shop for pizza toppings that can include meats, cheeses and veggies. Use a pre-made sauce that is available in the grocery store.

  4. Step 4

    Prepare pizza pans or large sheet pans by spraying them with cooking spray. This allows the pizza to release easily from the pan.

  5. Step 5

    Spread dough out with fingers and top with sauce and toppings. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until cheese has melted. Let pizza rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

    Serve plenty of cold drinks and beer to wash down pizza.

Tips & Warnings
  • When you throw a make your own pizza party, assign a different topping to each guest who is coming. This will involve everyone and spread the cost for the party amongst the group. This is especially helpful if it is a group of starving college students.
  • Most people enjoy getting their hands into pizza dough and making their own pizzas. This spreads the workload out and gives you an activity for the party as well.
  • Ice cream cones for dessert will finish off this fun time. Or you can even serve dessert pizza to finish off your pizza party in a fun, different way. Try topping crust with chocolate, caramel, powdered sugar or fruit topping.
  • Don't forget to call ahead and make arrangements if you are hosting a pizza party at a restaurant.
