Read on to learn how to install outdoor kitchen plumbing.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Wrench
  • Teflon paste
  • PVC cleaner
  • PVC glue
  • Silicon

Step1
Purchase a stainless-steel sink and cabinet. Even if you live in a an arid environment, it is a good idea to use stainless-steel because even morning dew can cause other metals or woods to become damaged over time.
Step2
Connect the sink fittings before setting the sink in place. It is easiest for you to attach the appropriate pieces and hook them up to the water lines if you aren't encumbered by the large countertop. Apply Teflon paste to the hot and cold water fittings' threads. Clean the insides of the fittings with PVC cleaner. After waiting a few minutes, put PVC glue on the insides.
Step3
Locate the waterline stub. Clean and apply glue to the outside and push the fittings in place being certain that the hot and cold fittings are attached to the right lines.
Step4
Install the drain. Put plumber's putty around the drain's perimeter so that it covers the entire ring. Connect the drain to the sink by threading the gaskets in place and securing it tightly.
Step5
Apply some silicon around the sinks perimeter to hold it in place and prevent water from seeping through the cracks. Position and install the sink in the countertop.
Step6
Turn on the waterlines so that both hot and cold water will flow through the sink. Check the connections to make sure that the neither the fittings nor the drain is leaking.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keeping the sink covered can help prevent it from being damaged. If left exposed small animals may get into the pipes, causing stoppages and unwanted smells.
  • Check the connections regularly, especially during the first month of use, to make sure that nothing is leaking.
