Cats are beautiful creatures and need little embellishment to make them more beautiful. But you may want to personalize your cat to make them different from the other cats on the block and a fun way to do that is through accessories. Read on to learn how to accessorize a cat.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Collars
  • Cat clothes
  • Nail caps

Step1
Look at your cat's coloring when choosing accessories, same as you would look at your coloring when choosing clothes. Blues and greens look great on lighter toned cats, while brighter colors are fabulous for darker colored cats. A fun thing to try is to match accessories with your cat's eyes, especially collars.
Step2
Try some jewelry. Find a great jeweled collar, a collar with a cute print or a collar with fun pom-poms. You can even change the collars every day, same as you would change your jewelry. Never put jewelry such earrings as put onto your cat, due to the risk of infection or permanent damage to their ears.
Step3
Put cat clothes onto your cat. There are many different kinds of sweaters and shirts you can put onto your cat to accessorize them and keep them warm in cold climates. You can go with cute clothes such as a message T-shirt or with glamorous clothes such as a light-weight sweater.
Step4
Cover your cat's claws with a cat nail cap. Nail caps were developed by Soft Paws to keep cats from ruining furniture and carpets with their claws. The caps go on top of your cats claws (they look like large finger nails) and come in a large variety of colors to help accessorize your cat.
Step5
Accessorize your cat's home with toys. Keep your cat happy, spoiled and healthy with cute toys and things they can bop around their home.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure your cat's accessories won't hurt them, constrict them or make it difficult for them to move or jump.
