Play the songs by female artists who had Top 10 hits such as "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper, "Material Girl" by Madonna," "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul and "Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston.
Step4
Get the ladies dancing to Top 10 hits by male artists such as "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield and "Purple Rain" by Prince.
Step5
Play energetic tunes such as "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" by Wham and possibly the most popular song of the decade, the big dance number "Thriller" by Michael Jackson.

Tips & Warnings

  • Suggest that guests who are coming to your party dress as an eighties music star. Prince, Madonna or Michael Jackson are just a few stars they could choose from.
  • If you have satellite radio such as XM you can find an all eighties channel and play that music for the party. There is continuous music on satellite radio and is an inexpensive way to play music.
