How to Share a Personal Calender in Hotmail

Hotmail has a feature where you can show your calendar to other Hotmail users and determine how much information to let them see. Use the following steps to help you share your calendar in Hotmail.

Things You’ll Need:

  • A Hotmail account

Share Your Calendar With One Person

Step1
Go to the Hotmail home page and sign in. Click "Options" on the far top-right hand corner while in your account.
Step2
Click on the third link down on the far left-side of the page titled "Calendar."
Step3
Click on the third link down under "Calendar Options" in the middle of the page titled "Manage Shared Calendars."
Step4
Click on the first link, which is called "Share your Calendar."
Step5
Type in the e-mail address of the person you would like to share your calendar with or choose an e-mail address from your "My Contacts" list to the right on the screen. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click "Next."
Step6
Choose how much information to display. Click one of the two boxes to indicate if you would like to share all of your appointment details or only times when you are free or busy. Click "next."
Step7
Type in a personal note to send with your calendar link if you'd like to. Click "finish." Then click "OK."

Share You Calendar With Everyone

Step1
Click "Options."
Step2
Click "Calendar" and then "Manage Shared Calendars."
Step3
Click the second link down called "Publish Your Calendar."
Step4
Choose how much of your appointment details to share. Click one of the three boxes listed to: choose to allow anyone to see all details, choose only let them see when you are free or busy or choose to not publish your calendar on the web.
Step5
Copy down the link provided which will be a website that anyone can log onto to get your calendar information.
Step6
Click "Save Changes."

Tips & Warnings

  • You can share your calendar with someone via an e-mail address only if they also have a Hotmail address.
  • When you publish your calendar on the web, anyone with Internet access can view it.

Alternatively you could organise and share calendar with OurOfficePortal. You could share calendar on department or company level. pretty cool stuff.
