Pumpkin Penny Pitch is a fun Halloween party game that will keep your kids occupied. Play this game at your next Halloween party or get together.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3Pumpkins
  • Black Magic Marker
  • Plastic wrap or aluminum foil
  • Pennies
  • Kids to play
  • Halloween candy
  1. Step 1

Find 3 large pumpkins and carve them out. Make the top opening large and leave the tops of the pumpkins off. You can make 2 pumpkins with larger openings and one middle pumpkin with a smaller opening so older kids have more of a challenge.

  2. Step 2

Draw faces on the pumpkins with a black magic marker. Make the faces happy, scary or silly. You also can carve out the faces if you like, but it's not necessary to do so and the magic marker shows up better.

  3. Step 3

Line the inside of the pumpkins with plastic wrap or aluminum foil to make the process less messy.

  4. Step 4

Arrange the pumpkins in a row or however you want. Tape off a start line several feet away. If you have different ages of children playing this game at your Halloween party, you may need two start lines. Assign someone the position of standing behind the pumpkins to retrieve pennies thrown or set up your display against a wall to make it easier.

  5. Step 5

Give each player 5 to 10 pennies and have them pitch the pennies at the pumpkins from the start line. The idea is to get each penny in the pumpkin.

  6. Step 6

Award a piece of candy for every penny that lands in a pumpkin.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also use plastic pumpkins for this game, which would be a lot less messier and easier to set up. If you do use plastic pumpkins, make sure to place something heavy inside so it doesn't tip over easily.
