  1. Before the Party

      Send out invitations two to four weeks in advance. Indicate the hands-on theme of the party so guests can dress accordingly.

      Gather two or three candy recipes that can be made easily in a home kitchen. Lollipops, pulled molasses candy, or molded chocolates are ideal.
