1
Check out the visiting aircraft. Anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 aircraft grace Wittman Field's tarmac during the show, and they range from vintage planes to homemade ultralights. From time to time a famous aircraft is on display, such as the British Concorde or SpaceShipOne. Tour some of the planes and talk to the crews.
-
2
Enjoy one of the aerobatics demonstrations given every day. Children and kids-at-heart enjoy it immensely when planes buzz overhead, do loop-de-loops and other maneuvers in the sky.
-
-
3
Visit the federal pavilion. Representatives of the U.S., Canadian and Bahamian governments provide demonstrations and updates on some of their agencies' latest plans. Occasionally, the NASA section has a famous astronaut or two on hand for autographs.
-
4
Take a ride in a vintage aircraft during the air show. Check the official EAA webpage to find out what aircraft will be flying during the show. Make advance reservations for some of them to ensure you have a seat.
-
5
Relax on the shores of Lake Winnebago at the Seaplane Base. This part of the show isn't as busy as the rest of it, and it can be enjoyable to watch the planes take off and land. Use the hourly shuttle from Wittman Field to get there.
-
6
Look for treasure at the Aeromart. If you need a part for that plane you're restoring, or you simply want an old wooden propeller to decorate your room, find it here at the world's largest aviation consignment sale.

Tips & Warnings
Regulars often have "Oshkosh friends," who they see once a year during the air show. You may not make an Oshkosh friend, but you are very likely to run into other enthusiasts who share your interest in a specific kind of aviation. After all, nearly 250,000 people attend the show!
During the Oshkosh Air Show, Wittman Field is home to the busiest air control tower in the world. Air traffic controllers who work the air show earn a coveted neon pink polo shirt (neon pink is the most visible color on the tarmac.)
