Things You'll Need:
- A yo-yo with a fixed axle
-
Step 1
Wind the yo-yo string around its axle all the way and put the string loop around the middle finger of your dominant hand (in this example we will use the right hand). Grasp the yo-yo firmly in your upturned palm.
-
Step 2
Curl up your right arm as if trying to make a muscle. Bring the yo-yo up to your ear on the right side.
-
Step 3
Snap your arm down to the right as you flick the yo-yo outward. Keep your elbow bent as your yo-yo goes out to the right of you.
-
Step 4
Swing the yo-yo from the right to the left, letting it swing downward across you legs toward the floor. Swing it all the way to your left side, bringing your hand no further than halfway across your body at chest level.
-
Step 5
Begin bringing the yo-yo back into your hand when it reaches chest level at your left side.
-
Step 6
Flick the yo-yo up on the left side of your body as the yo-yo retracts, making it go higher than your left shoulder before reaching your hand.
-
Step 7
Grasp the yo-yo back into your right hand. Your palm should be facing upward as you do this.
