How to Take a Ben and Jerry's Factory Tour

If you have ever wanted to learn more about how Ben and Jerry Ice Cream, visit the factory just north of Waterbury, Vermont. You can take a factory tour of Ben and Jerry's almost any time of the year. Here are some tips to get you on your way.

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Pick a day that works best for you and your party to attend a tour. They are open seven days a week all year round except for major holiday's, including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Step2
Make a reservation if your group is larger than 10 people by calling (802) 882-1240 Ext. 2285. You will be required to arrive no less than 15 minutes before the tour begins. Reservations are not accepted during holidays.
Step3
Arrive earlier than your designated tour time. The tour capacity is limited to 40 people and tickets are sold at a first come first serve basis. Tours last 30 minutes and leave every 30 minutes. Hours are limited in the winter, and parts of the summer.
Step4
Pay a small fee for each person in your party over 12 years of age. Children 12 years old and younger are free.
Step5
Look into a package deal if a scoop at the end of the tour is not enough. You receive a tour, a pint of ice cream and a T-shirt.
