Hormone levels become irregular at different periods during a woman's life. Most often hormone levels fluctuate before a woman enters menopause and when she becomes menopausal. To ease symptoms of menopause, it may be recommended that you regulate hormone levels.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Set up an appointment with your physician. If you are going through menopause, you need to go in to see your doctor about ways to make the transition easier.
Step2
Find out about hormone replacement therapy. There are medications used to treat menopause symptoms by replacing the estrogen or progesterone found in a woman's body.
Step3
Research the risks of hormone replacement therapy. Many hormone replacement therapies carry an increased risk of developing breast cancer. There is also a higher risk of heart disease and stroke.
Step4
Have a sexual relationship. Studies have shown that a healthy sex life can help naturally regulate a woman's hormone levels.
Step5
Eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can ease menopausal symptoms and regulate hormone levels.
Step6
Use herbs. Macca root is one type of herb that is believed to regulate a woman's hormone levels. It is said to stimulate a woman's pituitary gland into producing higher levels of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone.

Tips & Warnings

  • There are studies still being conducted that are testing the safety of hormone replacement therapies. Ask your doctor to keep you abreast of the findings in these studies.
  • Don't take hormone replacement medications if you have a history of breast cancer or blood clots. This can increase your risk of developing a serious condition.
