RapidShare is an Internet website that allows users to host their files for free. The site claims to be one of the fastest and largest file hosting websites on the Internet. They have different limitations for free and premium subscribers.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use RapidShare's 1-Click method of web hosting. Start on the homepage and locate the Upload option. Browse through your files to locate the file you wish RapidShare to host. Click the "Upload!" icon.

  2. Step 2

Record the exact download URL. After your file has been uploaded, you will be given a unique URL.

  3. Step 3

Share the URL address with friends and customers. If you wish others to access your file on RapidShare, you need to send them the correct URL address.

  4. Step 4

Create a Premium account to get more from RapidShare. A premium account supports download accelerators, no delay downloads, unlimited downloads and the ability to resume aborted downloads.

  5. Step 5

Expect files to be deleted after 90 days if they have not been used in that time frame. With a free account, RapidShare routinely goes through the files and deletes unused files. With a premium account, they won't touch your files and you'll have to manually delete them.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use several download accelerators on the RapidShare site. GoZilla and GetRight have both been proven to work with the site.
  • Your privacy is protected on the RapidShare website. Since each file is given an independent URL, web browsers can not access the files through the RapidShare archive.
  • There are certain restrictions on the types of files that you can upload on RapidShare. No type of pornography or copyrighted material is allowed on the site.
