How to Get a Job as a Nude Model

The modeling industry is extremely hard to get into, no matter how you look. Nude modeling, known as glamour modeling, is a specialized area and should be considered seriously. It is not an area for minors, or to be jumped into without talking to a professional first. Use these steps to learn the different types of nude modeling and how to find a job in this specific area.

1. Hire a photographer who is experienced in portfolios to help you put together a well-rounded portfolio. Though you may only be looking for work as a nude model, it is a good idea to have a variety of shots to show a client your versatility.

2. Contact a modeling agent to see if they are taking on any new models. It is extremely hard to find representation unless you were discovered or they see something in you that they can market. It is safer to have an agent in the nude modeling industry as they will know who is credible and who is not.

3. Research as much as you can about companies that use nude models. This may include the music industry, bath products, lingerie or many other areas of advertising.

4. Offer to be a nude model for an art class at a college, university or art school. This would be a great reference for your portfolio and allow you to get comfortable with nude modeling, as it is sure to be an acquired taste.

Tips & Warnings

• Stay fit. As a nude model there is no way to hide imperfections on your body.
• Keep your skin well-hydrated and in great shape. Use an all-over moisturizer daily and cleanse with an oil free cleanser to avoid break-outs. Have your bikini line waxed by a professional at least two days before a photo shoot to allow for the redness to fade.
• A great body and some experience will get you far, but you will need a professional portfolio.
• Do not take jobs from an unreliable source or that requires you to travel to a remote place with someone you don't know.
