Goofy is one of Disney's oldest and dearest characters. Goofy, who first appeared in 1932 in Mickey's Revue, was only a minor character at that time and was called "Dippy Dawg". The name Goofy didn't stick until 1934. Goofy is now considered one of Mickey's pals and has a huge following of his own. Now you can be a Goofy fan too.

Instructions

Step1
Watch all the Goofy cartoon shorts. These include not only the ones he appeared in with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, but the ones he starred in too. You also need to see "A Goofy Movie" and the television series "Goof Troop."
Step2
Wear Goofy apparel and collect all the Goofy merchandise you can find. Goofy merchandise can be found at the Disney stores and theme parks. You can also find all kinds of Goofy stuff online.
Step3
See all the "How To" sporting films and the "Common Man" films starring Goofy. The "How To" films started in the 1940s and they are actually funny "How Not To Films". The "Common Man" films started in the 1960s and starred Goofy as Mr. George Geef to showcase the pitfalls of modern living.
Step4
Read the comic books and comic strips that star Goofy. These comic books and comic strips are in 14 languages and 15 countries. You can also read the numerous hardcover books he appears in.
Step5
Visit one or more of the Disney Theme Parks. You can't be a true Goofy fan without visiting your idol's favorite haunts. Toon Town has Goofy's house and no trip to Disneyland would be complete without a visit there. You also need to meet your idol in person while you are there.
Step6
Finally, the ultimate tribute to your idol: Get a job impersonating Goofy at Disney World or one of the other Disney theme parks.

Tips & Warnings

  • There is always new Goofy stuff to purchase, and if you can't purchase all of them, make a wish list to give to people who want to give you gifts.
  • Pass your Goofy knowledge on to your offspring, as there can never be too many Goofy fans.
