Getting married is one of the most important times in a person's life. So much thought and planning goes into making the arrangements. Some couples choose to set their wedding apart by releasing white doves after their ceremony. This is such a breathtaking, powerful moment to see and the beauty left behind will be cherished forever.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Shop prices. There are many types of wedding packages to choose from. Search around for a reputable company from other newlyweds or check online. Prices will vary depending on how many doves you have, the location and type of cage that you will choose to release the birds from.
Step2
Unite. A classic way to present the release is to have two small heart shaped baskets, with a dove inside, for the bride and groom. After the ceremony each person can gently toss one dove in the air above their heads. The doves will circle the couple, being another symbol of unity like the wedding ring.
Step3
Make it powerful. Give all of the members of the bridal party a basket with a dove and at the end of the ceremony they can release the birds at once. This effect is very dramatic.
Step4
Step back in time. Hang or stand a Victorian-style cage and display the doves elegantly before you are escorted away on horseback or a carriage ride.
Step5
Go Asian. There is something majestic and imperial about a golden cage with a dome top. Place the doves in this cage and send them off with fashion and flair. This is a fine touch for a formal wedding.
Step6
Be casual. A clean, crisp white cottage-looking cage is informal and fun. The doves make you feel relaxed and comfortable as they coo and rest peacefully beside the guest book.
Step7
Fly free. Release the white doves any way you choose as long as it will be safe for the birds and is in the contract. Weddng doves will be remembered long after the guests have gone home.
