How to Get a Job at Disneyland

Working at Disneyland and becoming a cast member is a dream come true for many Disney fans. Starting a career at Disneyland can also be great for older high school and college students who live in the Anaheim and Los Angeles areas. Beginning wages are over minimum wage, schedules are extremely varied and your work can be fun.

Instructions

    • 1

Look at your appearance. Disney is very picky about their employees' appearance. Visible tattoos, piercings other than ears in girls, odd hair styles and colors and poor personal hygiene is unacceptable in a Disney employee.

    • 2

Call the Disneyland Resort Jobline at (800)766-0888, go the Disney website or go the Casting Center in Anaheim, California to see what jobs are available. You should be able to get an application from any of these places.

    • 3

Fill out applications completely and with correct information. This is not the place to note how much of a Disney fan you are.

    • 4

At the interview, dress appropriately and conservatively, as you would for any other job interview. Do not cover yourself in Disney paraphernalia.

    • 5

Answer any interview questions to the best your abilities. Explaining how much of a Disney fan you are, or who your favorite Disney character is does not get you the job.

    • 6

Expect to work holidays and odd hours, if you become a cast member. It takes a large work staff working twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to keep Disneyland running. You may have an unpredictable schedule.

Tips & Warnings

  • Like any job, a career at Disneyland has its pluses and minuses. Every day won't be a perfect dream job day.

  • If you want a job quickly at Disneyland, be prepared to start at the bottom and work your way up.
