How to Celebrate National Maple Syrup Day

Native American Indians learned how to harvest the sap of the maple tree and boil it into sweet syrup. Celebrate this American product on December 17, the official National Maple Syrup Day. Producing states also celebrate an annual maple syrup day between February and March, the time when growers harvest and boil the sap into your pancakes' best friend.
