How to Get Married in St. Lucia

Couples can enjoy a tropical wedding in one of the hottest spots in the West Indies. St. Lucia, with its lush white sandy beaches and warm sun, provides a memorable spot in which couples can get married. Find out what is required for your wedding in St. Lucia.

Instructions

1. Bring over $200 US dollars with you for your marriage license.

2. Make sure you bring all identification that is necessary for your wedding ceremony to be acknowledged in St. Lucia. Bring your passports, drivers licenses, birth certificates and any other IDs you can find.

3. Make sure you are both over 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years old, you will have to get a notary republic to sign an affidavit or get consent from your parents.

4. Ask your local home priest to converse with the priest on the island. You must prove you've received appropriate marriage counseling.

5. Bring death certificates or divorce decrees if you are widowed or divorced. The government needs proof that you are single.
