How to Make Halloween Graveyard Pudding

There's really nothing scary about Halloween graveyard pudding. It's just a few gravestones, some bugs, a few worms and a little dirt, but it's a delicious Halloween party dessert for adults and kids alike. Be careful though, because it's so good that your guests might become bewitched by it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Rolling pin
  • Mixer or food processor
  • 1 dozen chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz. package of cream cheese
  • ¾ cups of sugar
  • Large can of canned pumpkin pie filling
  • 1 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 bananas, sliced into ¼ inch pieces
  • Gummi worms and bugs

    Spooky Graveyard Pudding

  1. Step 1

    Add pudding mix to milk in a large bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Mix with a mixer or wire whisk until well blended.

  3. Step 3

    Crush chocolate sandwich cookies in a lock-seal bag with a rolling pin.

  4. Step 4

    Stir half of the crushed cookies and the whipped topping into the pudding.

  5. Step 5

    Refrigerate for at least one hour.

  6. Step 6

    Decorate rectangular-shaped cookies or crackers with frosting to make "gravestones."

  7. Step 7

    Stand the gravestones up in the pudding and sprinkle with the remaining crushed cookie crumbs. Decorate with candies.

  9. Step 1

    Make the chocolate pudding according to the package directions and spread it in the plastic containers.

  10. Step 2

    Place one or two gummi worms in each container with the top half of the worm sticking out.

  11. Step 3

    Crush chocolate sandwich cookie in a lock-seal bag with a rolling pin to make "dirt."

  12. Step 4

    Sprinkle a little of the crushed cookie "dirt" on the pudding.

  13. Fancy Graveyard Pumpkin Pudding

  14. Step 1

    Crush chocolate sandwich cookies in lock-seal bag and crush with a rolling pin. Set aside.

  15. Step 2

    Whip cream in large mixing bowl until it is very stiff.

  16. Step 3

    Beat sugar and cream cheese in small mixing bowl until creamy.

  17. Step 4

    Add canned pumpkin pie filling and pumpkin pie spice.

  18. Step 5

    Fold in whipped cream mixture and bananas.

  19. Step 6

    Spoon graveyard pumpkin pudding into pudding containers and smooth the top with a spoon.

  20. Step 7

    Sprinkle with crushed cookie "dirt" and decorate with gummi worms and bugs.
