Step 1
Find the best shades of lipstick for your lips. For full lips, it is best to stick with medium tone colors and subtle shades. Stay away from pale shimmering colors, plums and dark brown shades.
-
Step 2
Clean off the dry, dead skin from your lips using a dry, soft bristled toothbrush or a wet, warm washcloth.
-
Step 3
Apply liquid foundation to your lips and let it dry. You can also brush some face powder onto your lips if you wish.
-
Step 4
Outline your mouth with a dark color lipstick using a lipbrush and starting at the "v" on your upper lip. A lipbrush will allow your lipstick to go on more evenly and will give you more control. Make sure to stay just inside your natural lip line and go almost to the corner of your mouth. Do the other side of the upper lip the same way.
-
Step 5
Use a lighter shade of lipstick to fill in your lips, staying within the outline you made with the darker colored lipstick.
-
Step 6
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for your bottom lip. Since there is no "v" in your bottom lip, just start in the center of your bottom lip to begin your outline.
-
Step 7
Close your lips and blot with a tissue. Reapply more lipstick with the lipbrush after blotting if you want to increase the wear-time of your lipstick.
