Las Vegas…what happens there, stays there. That does not mean, however, that you have to pay a fortune for your adventures. There is an abundance of free stuff to do in Las Vegas for both adults and children. Read on to learn about these cool freebies.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Watch the fountains at the Bellagio hotel. Every day music, lights and water shows amaze thousands of onlookers. Monday through Friday, the fountains operate every half hour from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. until 12 midnight. On Saturdays and Sundays they operate on a similar schedule, except the fountain shows start at noon.
Step2
Tour the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory. Open daily from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m., this free tour includes chocolate tasting at the end. You can also visit a cactus-themed botanical garden onsite.
Step3
Look on in amazement at the MGM Grand Hotel's Lion Habitat. From 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily, hotel visitors gaze in awe at live adult and baby lions.
Step4
Check out the Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel. This carefully tended wildlife preserve in the courtyard of the hotel boasts birds (including flamingos), fish, penguins and turtles. Watch the penguins eat daily at 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Step5
Gasp in wonder as you and your family watch a "live" volcano erupt in front of the Mirage hotel. At the top of each hour (beginning at either 6 p.m. or 7 p.m., depending on the season) smoke, fire and water spray 100 feet high, turning a peaceful waterfall into amazing streams of molten "lava."
Step6
See the "Sirens of TI" show in front of the TI (formerly Treasure Island) Hotel. This show depicts a live battle between pirates and the sirens who try to lure them to their deaths. The show runs nightly at 7 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Step7
Participate in the Masquerade Show in the Sky at the Rio Hotel. This Mardi Gras themed party is complete with floats and beads. Although the parade is free to watch, for a nominal charge, you get a costume and can ride on a float as one of the entertainers. The parade marches daily at 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Tips & Warnings
