Women are often concerned with not only having a solid, classy wardrobe, but also one that reflects their personality. There are a few simple steps you can take to build a unique wardrobe that reflects your personal sense of style.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stock your closet with basic pieces that never go out of style. For instance, a little black dress, neutral trousers and basic tops build the foundation for a wardrobe. However, it's the special pieces that you add to the basics that create a unique wardrobe.

  2. Step 2

Inject color into your wardrobe. Choose pieces that are flexible for a number of occasions but give a pop of color to your neutrals. Consider colorful layering pieces like tank tops and button up shirts.

  3. Step 3

Buy pieces that are special in some way. "Special" might mean a bit of beadwork or embroidery, a unique pattern or spectacular shoes. Pieces with a sense of uniqueness add extra personality when you build a wardrobe.

  4. Step 4

Indulge in jewelry pieces that you love. Jewelry adds an extra layer of polish and personality to an outfit, so pick pieces that are unusual and catch your imagination. If jewelry is beyond your budget, consider buying handmade pieces from online retailers or shopping for jewelry at a local art fair.

  5. Step 5

Track trends and buy accordingly. Following trends doesn't mean that you should abandon classic pieces, simply pay attention to seasonal trends so that you can add a few pieces to your wardrobe to show that you're fashionably savvy.
