Tired of sending the usual cupcakes, chips, & sodas to your child's school parties? Well here is a fun but healthy way to put a smile on a kid's face without it being the sugar :)

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • List Of Children In Class (Include Teachers)
  • List of anyone with food allergies
  • Ribbon (different colors)
  • Clear Tape
  • Scissors
  • Little Tags To Write Name On
  • Pencils (with designs on them)
  • Capri Sun Juices
  • Granola Bars (Kudos)
  • Fruit Roll-Ups (Twisted)
  • Fruit Snacks
  • Yogurt Covered Raisins (small boxes)
  • Chips (small bags)
  • Dole Brand Cups of Fruit
  • Rulers (different colors & designs)
  • Small Notepads (Fun Characters)
  • Little games (TicTacToe, YoYo, Paddle W/Ball, etc.)
Step1
First, talk to your child's teacher & ask for a list of all children & teachers in class. Make sure to ask if anyone is allergic to peanuts, sugar, etc.
Step2
Then start shopping for all your goodies, games, gifts, & decorative supplies to put everything together nicely. Make sure to remember if anyone is allergic to anything.
Step3
When you get everything, start putting things in piles so that you can just grab one thing out of every pile so that you don't put the same item twice.
Step4
Use tape to stick things together, kind of like a bundle. Make sure to put the big & long items on the bottom & smaller items on top, sort of like a pyramid. Example: Ruler, Pencil, then Fruit Roll-Up, etc.
Step5
When you're all done putting everything together, write the name on the tag, stick the ribbon through it & then wrap it around the gift pack. Then prepare to see some big smiles when you take these fun & tasty gifts to your child's classroom.

Tips & Warnings

  • When shopping for rulers, pencils, little note pads, etc., make sure to get things specifically for girls & some for boys. I don't think the boys would like to get a pink pencil :)
  • When buying snacks, find things that you know children would like to eat, maybe something that comes with a certain character on the wrapper.
  • Ask your child what they would like to include in the gift pack, maybe they would like to add a coloring page from their coloring book, you could roll it up & include it to the bundle, or even one of their favorite snacks.
  • You can also use little plastic baskets to put things in instead of taping them & adding a ribbon to it.
  • You can also use a decorative plastic bag to throw things in & add a nice ribbon to close it.
  • For the Teachers, you can buy something a little more adult friendly when you buy your snacks & gifts.
  • Don't put too much tape, just enough to hold things together until the kids get a hold of it :)
