Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
With so much on offer it’s easy to get swamped with information. Try to be selective. Ask yourself which area of town you want to go out in (how easy is it to get back), what kind of music you want to listen to, what kind of crowd you want to mix with and (for some of us the most important question) what kind of prices you’d like to pay.
Step2
Once you’ve decided what you are looking for you need to find out what’s on this week. To do this you’ll need to find a magazine, newspaper or website that has club listings for the area/type of music/price range you are interested in.
Step3
Make sure you ask people what they think of certain clubs. Quite often you can learn most from your friends and colleagues, or even try asking people you meet when you’re out and about! Weeknight clubs are often promoted by students, for students, so talking to students is definitely a good idea!
Step4
London daily newspapers comment on celebrities’ nightlife escapades every morning. Make sure you pay attention to which clubs bands, actors and z-list reality TV stars are getting drunk at and getting thrown out of as these will no doubt be some of the trendiest places to visit.
