How to Install a Headliner in a Pick-Up Truck

Follow these easy steps to change the headliner in your pickup truck

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A screw driver.
  • Glue
  • A brush
  1. Step 1

    With the screw driver remove every screw that holds the visors and anything else that is attached to the headliner.

  2. Step 2

    Once no screws holding the headliner board are left use the dome light opening to push it toward a corner, and allow the opposite corner to come out of the molding that supports it.

  3. Step 3

    Repeat in the next corner and remove the headliner from the cabin.

  4. Step 4

    Remove the old material from the headliner board.

  5. Step 5

    With the brush remove all dirt from headliner board.

  6. Step 6

    Apply the glue on the cleaned headliner board.

  7. Step 7

    Apply new material on the headliner board making sure the entire surface is properly glued.

  8. Step 8

    Reinstall the headliner to the truck the same way it has been removed.

Tips & Warnings
  • To remove the headliner from the cabin, slide it backwards and lower the front side above the steering wheel.
  • Before attempt to remove the headliner make sure no screws have been left to support it and they have been stored aside.
