Things You'll Need:
- Phone book or be able to search on the Internet
-
Step 1
One of the first things that happen to luggage when it's being used for airline travel is the wheels get broken off. What you need to do is start looking for a luggage repair place near you. Look in the yellow pages or search on the Internet. There are a lot of them around. Look under luggage repair.
-
Step 2
When a piece of luggage breaks or when it needs to be mended, its owner will often take it to a luggage repair service or a luggage repairing service to get it fixed or mended. Some luggage repair services specialize in fixing or mending a certain brand of luggage while others may work on all kinds of luggage brands. There are luggage repair experts that specialize in working on luggage and suitcases made out of certain materials, such as a leather suitcase repair service. Most luggage repair specialists can fix or mend garment bags, suitcases, handbags, purses, backpacks, briefcases and satchels. Luggage repair services are often called to fix a broken luggage zipper or mend a frayed or torn piece of luggage. Some luggage repair experts can install locks on luggage or perform other luggage customizations.
-
Step 3
It's virtually impossible for an individual to replace parts of luggage that have been broken off. There are so many different manufacturers it's virtually impossible to find what you are looking for. And they don't stock parts for retail consumers anyway.

on 11/2/2007 Most places that you will find with these types of products are wholesale only. However I did find one on-line that will sell retail: www.hardwareelf.com
they have a pretty good selection and good pricing.
