How to get relief from spicy food

So took a dare from a friend and ate a jalapeno. How do you get relief? Here's what I do.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
IMO, drinking water doesn't help as it just acts as a medium for the chemicals.
Step2
Eat something that is a base that will neutralize the acid:
milk
bread
ice cream
sour cream
rice
peanuts or peanut butter
Step3
Chocolate is the best food to eat to cut the burning sensation as it covers the nerve endings that determine spicyness.

Tips & Warnings

  • When attemping to eat a jalapeno, put a dollop of sour cream on it to help cut down on some of the hotness.
  • Rmember, what goes into your mouth has to come out the other end. It's a good deterrent from doing crazy things like eating hot peppers. :)
