Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look online. Do a quick online search and find many listings of places to purchase sunglasses online. These may not be the best prices, but it will be the fastest, easiest way to find them. It will be a good starting place.

  2. Step 2

Join an association or professional group. One association for the eyewear industry is the Optical Laboratories Association. Another is the Sunglass Association of America. Joining these groups give access to special prices and deals.

  3. Step 3

Get a business license. Research local and state requirements for this, but it should be as easy as reselling to a couple friends to become a legitimate business. Wholesalers and manufacturers will look for customers who have legitimate businesses.

  4. Step 4

Join a warehouse club. Wholesale prices are offered for business and personal use. Some big warehouse clubs are Sam's and Costco. This may be the best option for someone looking for a one-time or smaller purchase.

  5. Step 5

Go to trade shows. Most trade shows are not open to the public, so proof of being an established business is a requirement. Many suppliers display merchandise at trade shows, often with the lowest prices. Do a search online to find trade show schedules and locations.

  6. Step 6

Purchase at auctions. EBay may be the best option. Look for wholesale lots. Prices may vary this way. This may be a good option for a one-time purchase, or to establish professional relationships with dealers.
