How to Make a Summer Reading List

There's just something about being poolside in the summer with a breezy paperback that's so blissfully relaxing that summer and reading have become tantamount for the majority of us. Get organized and make a summer reading list so that you don't miss out on a good book.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Do some research. Check out what the book club at your local book store is reading this summer or browse the library for new books and bestsellers. You can also browse online. Some websites even suggest books for you based on your other book choices and preferences.
Step2
Pick a variety of books. Don't limit yourself to one genre. Throw in a classic, a thriller, a biography, a book on building sailboats—pick at least one book you wouldn't normally read and at least one author you've never heard of before. You might find a new favorite.
Step3
Make a list of books you'd like to read based on your research and just go for it. Read whichever one suits your mood that day. Read all of them at once. Read one and forget about the rest. The point is to enjoy yourself so let the list be a guide and not an obligation.
Step4
Join a club. If you'd also like to discuss the books after you read them and meet new people, join a book club in your area or online and you'll have even more fun this summer.
