How to Form a Bowling League Team

Bowling can be a great way to get out with friends and even get a little exercise. Perhaps you and your friends have been out for casual bowling quite a bit lately and are ready to take it to the next level.

Instructions

    • 1

Get your prospective group together (about four to six people). Try going bowling together a few times to establish a group dynamic and figure out strengths and handicaps.

    • 2

Decide, collectively, on a preferred bowling alley. Make sure it's a place that everyone on the team can get to easily on a weekly basis.

    • 3

Inquire about when the next season's leagues will be forming. If a league is in the middle of a season, you'll have to wait it out.

    • 4

Once the new season's leagues begin forming, go to the bowling alley to submit necessary paperwork and fees.

    • 5

Decide on a team name. If at all possible, go out and get really cool league shirts made to look more official.

Tips & Warnings

  • Find out what type of league is forming during what season. There are men's, women's, youth and adult mixed.

  • While competition is healthy, fun should be the primary purpose in forming a league team.

  • Keep in mind that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.
