There is nothing more adorable than a newborn baby with handmade booties covering her tiny little toes. Crocheted baby booties make excellent gifts for baby showers, baptisms or a baby's homecoming.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Crochet hook
  • Yarn
  • Internet access
  1. Step 1

    Learn how to do some basic crochet stitches. Classes or personal lessons with an experienced person are most helpful in learning the basics.

  2. Step 2

    Familiarize yourself with the many abbreviations and symbols used in crochet patterns.

  3. Step 3

    Use the Resources section below to find some links to sites with free patterns.

  4. Step 4

    Browse through the pictures and patterns until you find one you like.

  5. Step 5

    Get out your hook and yarn and start crocheting your baby booties.

Tips & Warnings
  • Since the crocheted baby booties will be touching a baby's sensitive skin, make sure you use one of the yarns rated as "Baby Soft."
