Ask someone to add you to their Friend's List on MySpace so you can view their web page if it is set to private. When they approve you, you will be on their list and they will be on yours. If you're not sure how to tell if you've been approved, the following steps show you how to check the status of your friend request on MySpace.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • MySpace account
  1. Step 1

Sign onto MySpace by entering your username and password. If you are already logged on and on another page, go to your home page by clicking "home" at the far left top corner of the MySpace screen.

  2. Step 2

Click the link that says "Friend Requests," which will be one of four under "My Mail" underneath your profile picture on your home page. A screen will appear entitled, "Mail Center Friend Request Manager."

  3. Step 3

Click the eighth link down from a list of links to the far left of the screen, which will say "Pending Requests." A page will appear that will show all the add friend requests you have made that have not been approved yet. If your friend has not approved you, he will still be in this list.

  4. Step 4

Scroll down toward the bottom of your home page. You will see a section called "My Friend Space." Check to see if your friend is listed there if you can't find him on the "Pending Requests" section. You may have to scroll down further or click, "View all of My Friends" if they are not all visible on one page. If he is there, he has been successfully added to your friends list.
