The Nintendo Wii is great for getting a physical and mental workout. Big Brain Academy is a fun game that can actually help you gain mental clarity and improve your memorization skills. If you want to play Big Brain Academy on a Wii, you have to understand the basics of how the game works. With a little practice, you'll find yourself with a much bigger brain.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Enroll in Big Brain Academy. Upon loading the game, the first thing you have to do is head over to the office to do a bit of paperwork. A few clicks enrolls your Mii alter-ego in the academy, and you're ready for game play. You can go back to the office at any time to register more Mii's or to check your mental progress.
Step2
Practice. The majority of your game time will be spent practicing the different exercises. There are five categories: visualize, identify, memorization, computing and analyzing. Each category has three different exercises that can be played on easy, medium or hard. Begin with the easy level, and work your way up to the harder exercises.
Step3
Make the grade. Once you've practiced a bit, it's time to test your abilities. You can enter the test mode, where you'll face random exercises from all five categories. At the end of the test, you receive a letter grade. You can then choose to practice some more or test again to try to beat your previous score.
Step4
Play against your friends. After you get a feel for the game, play against other people for a new level of difficulty.

Tips & Warnings

  • Practice each exercise before you attempt to take the test for the first time. That way, you can get a clearer picture of what you need to work on.
  • Most people will naturally excel in certain areas and have difficulty with others. Spend your time practicing the areas where you need improvement, to see an increase in your test scores.
