How to Play Mario Party 8 on a Wii

The Mario Party series has always been a hit, and Mario Party 8 is no exception. You can join Mario and friends on a host of new boards and mini games that use the Wii remote. Mario Party 8 is pretty similar to the other Mario Party games, with a few new features and add-ons. Learn to play and soon you'll find yourself in the winners' circle.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Set up your game. After the game finishes loading, you'll see an option screen where you can choose from mini games, bonus features and the party tent. Choose the party tent to set up your first game. From there, you can choose the number of players, the number of turns and whether any bonus stars are awarded at the end of the game.
2. Choose a character. You can pick from a variety of different characters, including Mario and Luigi. No character is any better than any of the others, so just pick your favorite.
3. Roll the dice. After everyone chooses a character, you have the chance to roll to see who goes first. Bump your Wii remote upwards to hit the dice block above your character's head.
4. Practice before playing. Once the game play starts, each character rolls the dice and moves forward on the game board. After everyone has rolled, you'll play a randomly selected mini-game. When you're given the option to read the game rules and practice beforehand, do so several times before playing for real.
5. Continue playing. The game continues until you have reached the number of turns you selected in the setup. The person with the most points and stars at the end of the game wins.

Tips & Warnings

• Each player must have a Wii remote to play.
• Watch out for bonus stars. You may end the game on top, but once the bonus stars are awarded, you may very well lose your place at the top.
