Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Visit your doctor to be sure that the body odor is not related to any physical condition. The doctor, through a thorough physical exam, will be able to rule out any existing conditions that may be contributing to your body odor.
Step2
Eat only fresh fruits and vegetables to help keep your skin healthy and clean. Ingesting too much meat and dairy products will increase body odor. Avoiding fats and sugars will also reduce body odor, since these foods cause an acceleration of growth in the body's bacteria stores. This bacteria is what causes the odor.
Step3
Drink sufficient amounts of water daily. This will flush the body out internally and through the skin and wash away any bacteria that is on the skin and inside the body. Drink a minimum of half of your weight in ounces to reduce body odor. For instance, if you weigh 200 lbs., drink at least 100 oz. in water daily.
Step4
Bathe daily and use an antiperspirant deodorant. Using these two in conjunction will greatly reduce body odor. Do this often for best results. Also use body powder to help absorb any moisture on the skin.
Step5
Wear clothing that breathes easily like 100 percent cotton, wool or silk. These fabrics breathe easily and allow the body to cool down naturally.
