Step 1
Determine if the sale of a pet wolf is legal in your area. Contact your local animal control or fish and wildlife agency.
-
Step 2
Ask if friends or relatives know of someone who wants to buy a pet wolf. Recommendations are generally more trustworthy than strangers. Put an ad in your local newspaper or online. Focus on websites that have a strong reputation for humane treatment of animals.
-
Step 3
Send prospective buyers literature about owning a pet wolf from a website. See Resource section below. Meet with the buyers after sending the information. Include and require a signed legal waver protecting you from any damage the wolf may cause.
-
Step 4
Watch the interactions between the humans and the wolf. The humans should be dominant, and the wolf should sense their control.
-
Step 5
Visit the home of the potential buyer to ensure that they have adequate land and housing for the wolf. Make sure they do not have children.
-
Step 6
Sell the wolf to the best possible buyer. Offer the buyer any advice you have about this specific wolf. Alert wolf-protection agencies of the sale. They can check up on the purchaser.
