How to Save money on Firelighters

Start those Barbecue or Braai fires cheaply and quickly.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Old used tea bags and lamp parafin

Step1
Take your old tea bags and instead of throwing them away dry them either in the oven or in the sun
Step2
Stuff as many as you can when dry into an old coffee or pickle jar and then pour in Paraffin to halfway up the jar.
Step3
Close lid of Jar tightly and let soak to absorb the liquid add more if needed. One tea bag will burn for about 4 minutes to ignite charcoal or wood for your Braai or barbecue fire.

  • Store in a dry place away from children and pets
