Step1
The very first step you must take in doing so is to think of all your resources and to write them down. Start by assessing yourself first!
What are your talents, abilities, strengths?
And what are your weaknesses and things you are not so good at?
Do you have creative writing skills?
Is closing a sale one of your specialty?
Do you have good communication skills?
Where you born with a unique ability that other people don’t have?
By giving truthful answers (and remember, that no one is giving you a grade for this, it’s just for your eyes only, if you wish) , you can determine what kind of business suits you the most.
Step2
What assets and physical resources do you have?
Do you have a computer, color printer, scanner, digital camera, cell phone, CD or DVD burner.
Also think about your friends and family. What do they have and you could use?
You could use the talents, abilities, knowledge and resources of everyone you know, so basically you have access to more than you can imagine! Use all of that to build multiple streams of income!
Step3
Go ahead and become an affiliate!
After you decided on what are your passions and things you know about, try and pinpoint a market that fits your requirements. Then search for products in that market that have affiliate programs.
Try an find at least 10 affiliate programs that you like and that have a good commission.
You want to build a portfolio of products to promote, so that you can build multiple streams of income.
Step4
Start promoting!
Build a website or have someone do it for you. Test the product so that you know it has quality and also, you can find out hidden benefits that it may have and you could write that in your presentation of the product. Testing the product before trying to sell it it’s of great importance. Without testing it first you’re just like on a blind date: you never know what you can find! And if you promote a product that doesn’t really have value (but you don’t know that) people will ask for refunds and you will be out of business.
Step5
Take advantage of the learning materials that you will get!
When you sign up as an affiliate, you will get some pre-written emails to send out, maybe videos of how to promote the product, e-books and other useful materials that can help you grow at a faster rate!
Even if you are doing this part time, you can build a successful business (just that it will take you longer). In affiliate marketing, you get affiliate commission without investing big bucks in making your own product and without worrying about book keeping, customer support and e-commerce. All you need to do is to promote products and services in your website and pass on potential customers the merchant’s site.
