Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • TEAM SPIRIT ;-)
  1. Step 1

    Visit the Dodger's website: ladodgers.com
Here you can get a feel for the team. Check out player stats and see who's hot and who's not.

  2. Step 2

If you're not sure how to read their stats I'll give you an overview.

AVG: Their average is what pecent of the time they hit the ball when they're at bat. They're doing well if they're everage is in the high 200. Three hundreds is good!

ERA: That numder refers to the pitcher. It shows an avergae number to how many runs they allow. If your ERA is in the 3's or below your doing good. If it's in the ones you have extreme accuracy, and that is very good.

RBI: (Runs Batted In) This refers to the number of players to score because of your hit. It doesn't mean you scored the hit, it means because of your hit one of your team mates scored.

BB: (base on balls) This is also known as a walk. It means the pitcher threw out of the strike zone four times so you get essentialy a "free pass" to first base. This is sometimes done intentionaly if they believe its safer because they are good hitters.

  3. Step 3

Now you know the basics. The next step? The blue and white! You can get cheap cotton shirts outside the stadium, or invest in a jersey. Things will always be more expensive at the stadium. You can also just wear Dodger blue and white. Get a number one finger, or a hat. 4. Step 4

Now here's your last step. Go to a game! Dodger Stadium is located with in Elysian Park and is nestled in the hills surrounding LA. It is also conveniently located near The Hollywood Bowl, and Griffith Park!
Arrive a little early so you can enjoy batting practice. And make sure to enjoy a world famous Dodger Dog!
