There are a few different ways to make a Christmas pudding. If you want to make a really good, quick pudding, consider the following steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 50 g bread-crumbs
  • Egg
  • 50 g of self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 225 g mincemeat
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Dark treacle
  • Foil
  • Basin
  • Spoon
  • Greaseproof paper
  1. Step 1

Beat an egg while slowly adding the breadcrumbs.

  2. Step 2

Sieve the flour. Add the mincemeat, spice, milk and, lastly, the treacle. Mix thoroughly.

  3. Step 3

Spoon the mixture into a greased basin. Cover the basin with greaseproof paper and foil.

  4. Step 4

Steam the pudding for about 4 hours. Use either a pan with boiling water or a steamer. Make sure that the water continues boiling. You must continually refill the water throughout the steaming.

  5. Step 5

Remove from the stove and eat it the same day, or you can eat it anytime within a week.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can add some extra ingredients to experiment with the flavour.
  • You also can use cream, brandy sauce or any other sauce to add extra flavour to the pudding.
