How to Make a Crop Circle
Crop circles are designs that are made in the fields that appear as a geometric pattern when viewed from the air. There have been different theories that crop circles that appear overnight are the works of aliens, electromagnetic air above the fields or artwork of skilled pranksters.

1
Get authorization from the field owner before creating a crop circle. It is illegal to destroy the crops on someone else's property.
-
2
Drill holes at the ends of a 4 foot wooden board and secure ropes to the board. The length of the board depends on the radius of the circle you want to make on the field.

3
Start with a simple circle to get familiarized with the procedure. Choose a center point in the field and insert a pole. Attach a tape measure to the pole and extend it out to mark the radius of the circle.
-
4
Step on the wooden board with one leg and hold the ropes in your hands tightly. Start stomping on the crops by holding on to the tape, clockwise or counterclockwise, until the circle is complete. The bent crops are not damaged and they continue to grow back.

5
Use the computer to create intricate patterns and other geometric shapes. Plot lines for detailed designs in the fields before creating the circles to avoid track marks that spoil the design.
