How to Visit Euro Disney

Euro Disney, now called Disneyland Resort Paris, is located about 20 miles outside of the "City of Lights," in a small town called Marne-la-Vallee. The fanciful amusement park, opened in 1992, combines wholesome Disney fun with French flair to create enjoyment for visitors young and "not so young."

Instructions

    • 1

Plan a Trip to Paris. Disneyland Resort Park (Euro Disney) is located about 30 minutes from Paris and is easily accessible via non-stop rail service from the city's Gare l'Est. Most trains even host a Disney character of two to add to the excitement.

    • 2

Set aside at least a full day to explore the park. There's plenty to see and do at Disneyland Resort Paris: rides, live entertainment, character sightings and food, just to name a few.

    • 3

Stroll down Main Street USA. Guests enter the park along Main Street USA, a boulevard with the feel of small town America in the early 20th century. There are horse-drawn streetcars, ice cream parlors and penny arcades. Main Street is also the place to watch the daily Disney parade.

    • 4

Frolic in Fantasyland. Step through Sleeping Beauty Castle to Fantasyland, home to a host of popular rides, including "It's a Small World," the twirling teacups of the "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" and "Dumbo, the Flying Elephant."

    • 5

Explore Adventureland. You'll find lots of action rides in Adventureland, including the popular "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom."

    • 6

Enjoy Frontierland. Frontierland evokes the spirit of the American "Wild West." Attractions here include the "haunted" Phantom Manor and the "Thunder Mountain" roller coaster.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check the park's hours online before your go. They vary throughout the year.

  • Enjoy the cultural differences between Disneyland Resort Paris and the Disney parks in the US.
